Payroll Overview

The Payroll module works with the Human Resources module — where employee records and jobs/addenda are defined and maintained.

Use the Payroll module to define, manage, and process employee pay. This module is also where payroll liabilities are paid, W-2s are processed, and reports and data exports can be created.

AptaFund supports the cash or accrual accounting methods for payroll. Once a payroll has been processed, you cannot change the accounting method. The accounting method is specified in the Chart of Accounts Administration > Accounting Cycle window.
