Close Jobs Overview

Only approved jobs may be closed.

You don't need to close a job if you just need to remove it from a new payroll register. You can just remove it from payroll and then re-submit it later.

Closed jobs may be modified and approved again to re-encumber the funds.

Effects of closing a job

Closing an inactive, approved job — a job with no checks printed against it — releases the encumbrance. It is no longer available for payroll processing and may be deleted.

Closing an active, approved job — a job with at least one check printed and verified against it — means it is no longer available for payroll processing, but it may not be deleted.

How to close a job
