The Mass Increment Salary Schedule function increments the Step one level.
This feature is typically used to increment the step for employee jobs that share the same salary schedule. For hourly employees, the Hire Date is sometimes used as the discriminating factor.
Select the employees for whom you want to increment the step.
Select Mass Increment Salary Schedule from the More Actions list at the bottom of the Manage Employees window. The Mass Increment Salary Schedule window opens listing all employees with jobs for the selected salary schedule that are eligible for mass increment.
If necessary, uncheck any jobs for which you don't want to increment the employee step.
Click Increment Step. A progress bar is displayed, and when the process is complete, the number of successes and failures is displayed along with a list of the jobs for which step was incremented and reasons for any failures. You may export this list by clicking the in the upper right corner.
Repeat these steps to increment other Salary Schedule steps.
Click the Manage Employees link in the breadcrumbs or select Manage Employees from the Human Resources menu to return to the Manage Employees window.
Note: Once an employee reaches the top step of a grade, they will remain at that step. Changing an employee’s grade is a manual process.
