Vacating a position eliminates the link between an employee's job and a position in Position Management, opening the position to being filled by another employee.
Locate and select the employee for whom you want to vacate a position.
On the Jobs tab, check the box for the job(s) with the position(s) you want to vacate.
Click the Vacate Position button. You'll be asked to confirm that you want to vacate the position(s) associated with the selected job(s).
Click Yes to vacate the position(s). When complete, a notification of the number of positions vacated will be displayed.
